PAFDC Dance Workshops for Beginners: Krakowiak

Tonight we will be learning the lively and patriotic Krakowiak! 
This is most characteristic and recognizable Polish national dance. 

The dance lesson will consist of:
* a short warm-up
* practicing basic elements such as turns and classical arms
* learning basic steps of Krakowiak
* learning Krakowiak choreography utilizing the steps learned in class

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009 @ 8:00PM
PAFDC Dance Workshops for Beginners: Polka

Tonight we will be learning the fast-paced Polka! 
This is the “party” dance, and its popularity around the
world is a testament to just how much fun it is! 

The dance lesson will consist of:

* a short warm-up
* practicing basic elements such as turns and classical arms
* learning basic steps of Polka including partnering
* learning Polka choreography utilizing the steps learned in class

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009 @ 8:00PM
PAFDC Dance Workshops for Beginners: Mazur

Tonight we will be learning the regal and elegant Mazur! 
This was the danced performed by the nobility of Poland
and greatly inspired the music of Fredric Chopin. 

The dance lesson will consist of:
* a short warm-up
* practicing basic elements such as turns and classical arms
* learning basic steps of Mazur

Wednesday, December 9th, 2009 @ 8:00PM
PAFDC Dance Workshops for Beginners: Mazur

Tonight we will be learning the regal and elegant Mazur!

* learning/reviewing basic steps of Mazur
* learning Mazur choreography utilizing the steps learned in class


Notes
New members are welcome and no previous dance experience is required. 

Please wear comfortable outfit that you can move in (no jeans!)
and dance shoes (ballet slippers, jazz shoes, etc).  

Workshops are Free of charge.
